The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry had organized an Online Session on ‘Contemporary issues in Income Tax – TDS/TCS, Faceless Assessments & Reassessments’ in association with PwC on 3rd September, 2021 on Zoom. 

Welcome address was given by Mr. Pallav Gupta, Chairperson - Direct Taxes Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Advisor – Taxation, ITC Limited.

Ms. Sushmita Basu, Partner, PwC, and Mr. Diparun Mukherjee, Chartered Accountant from PwC addressed on ‘Reassessment proceedings - amended provisions’ in the 1st Technical Session. The next Technical Session was on newly introduced TDS / TCS Provision (such as section 194Q, 206AB, 206CCA, etc.) was addressed by Mr. Kapil Basu, Director, PwC. The 3rd Technical Session on Faceless Assessments was addressed by Mr. Bikash Chanda, Chartered Accountant, from PwC. The technical sessions were followed by Q/A session. The Online Session was attended by close to 50 delegates.
