The Change Makers, 23rd February 2021, Virtual Platform
The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized digitally a Panel Discussion titled "The Change Makers" in association with Ashoka Fellows on 23rd February 2021.
The objective of the programme was to spread across the need of building social entrepreneurship in India.
The webinar was presided by Ms. Nayantara Palchoudhury, Chairperson, Socio Economic Committee, BCC&I. The speakers of the webinar were Ms. Sushmita Ghosh, Member, Socio Economic Committee, BCC&I, Mr. Shantanu Paul, Venture and Fellowship, Ashoka Innovators for the Public who was also the Session Moderator of the Panel Discussion on “Journey and work sharing by Ashoka Fellows”. The other speakers were Mr. Sujay Santra, Founder, iKure and last but not the least, Ms. Paramita Banerjee, Co-founder and Chief Functionary, DIKSHA. The webinar was concluded by Ms. Sucharita Basu, Co-Chairperson, Socio Economic Committee, BCC&I.
The Conclave brought together the industry experts from various verticals and altogether the total no of delegates present were 50 approx.
Overall the webinar was an eye-opener for industry as it provided a crystal idea on the importance of Social Entrepreneurship in India and what are the steps to be followed for further development and growth of social entrepreneurship in days to come.
