BCC&I Step Forward: A Power Session with Major Gaurav Arya (Retd) 2nd September 2021, Virtual Platform

The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s newly constituted Lifestyle Committee advocating the theme of ‘good living- happy life’ for everyone in these hard times organized the first power session titled “BCC&I Step Forward” with Major Gaurav Arya(Retd), Editor-in-chief, Chanakya Forum on September 2nd, 2021 through virtual platforms.
The objective of the Lifestyle committee is to assess, plan and implement activities that helps the organization's employees or individuals to be more aware, motivated, and skilled around life decision to increase their own and other's wellbeing. The committee's role is also to build a workplace environment that is supportive of living a healthy lifestyle. The committee, therefore, plans to act as the voice to cultivate a cultural lifestyle and behavioral lifestyle for healthy living.
Step forward is one such unique initiative of the Committee, which is a specially curated power session, ideated around a single speaker who will share the perspective about stepping forward, no matter how hard it seems and especially in time as unprecedented as now, when lives have been disrupted and livelihoods disappeared overnight. This would focus on self-connect for developing self-belief. Identifying and removing the obstacles between realities vs. dreams.
The first session of this talk series was addressed by Major Gaurav Arya (Retd), Editor-in-chief, Chanakya Forum who spoke on the various facets of leadership, qualities to be imbibed to develop into a true ground breaker. He outlined the difference of leadership as practiced in corporates and the defence forces. The session also had the Former Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha who spoke on the pandemic devastating lives and economies globally, and the eminent threat of climate change that looms over humanity. The session also had engaging CEO’s Round Table moderated by Mr. Atul Asthana, Managing Director and CEO, Goodricke Group Limited and Dr Rupali Basu, Managing Director and CEO, Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital. BCC&I Step Forward was well covered at The Telegraph and had a large viewership. Total Reach till now is 48334, with total Impressions- 57813, Engagement- 354 and Video View- 4502 (Total impressions include each viewer viewing the content a number of times. It does not mean number of persons who viewed but high Impression signifies that they came back to the content.The engagements signify the viewers participated in social media on the content.)
