The Heritage Committee of The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I) has organized an online panel discussion on “Heritage Conservation, Restoration & Sustainability” on Friday, 10th September 2021.
Heritage conservation and practices within the frame of sustainability, focusing on the role of culture and heritage is the need of the hour. The panel discussion aimed to discuss the obligation to conserve and manage the heritage places and sites of the twentieth century, as part of our duty to preserve the significant cultural heritage of previous eras.
The session was moderated by Mr. Tanmoy Banerjee, Member, Heritage Committee, BCC&I and Director, RT Network Solutions Pvt Ltd, the eminent panellists were, Ms. Mrinalinee Majumdar, Resident Director, Rajbari Bawali, Ms. Nidhi, Deputy Director (Design and Documentation), National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy and Mr. Subrata Majumder, Director & COO, Eduplex Solutions Pvt. Ltd. who spoke on heritage conservation and restoration.
The Panel Discussion had very good response and the participants were comprising of Industry experts, heritage enthusiasts, representatives from academia, etc .
The Panel Discussion was an awareness for the industry fraternity as it created a platform to understand about the sustainable practices of heritage conservation and restoration, how a proper systematic approach of heritage is crucial in the preservation of various culture and heritage.
