The Entrepreneurship Conclave and Awards 2020-2021, 6th March 2021, Williamson Magor Hall, The Chamber Premises, Physical


The Entrepreneurs’ Committee of The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized ‘The Entrepreneurship Conclave and Awards 2020-2021’ on 6th March 2021 at the Williamson Magor Hall, The Chamber Premises Kolkata. 

The Entrepreneurship Conclave & Awards 2020 - 2021 recognized & celebrated exceptional entrepreneurs (including women entrepreneurs & leaders) whose innovative approach & clutter-breaking ideas had created positive changes in the business and social ecosystem in India. Moving a step further from ‘empowerment’, the platform looked to acknowledge and enable leaders & achievers who had opened up new opportunities for themselves & for others. Through this one-day programme, it showcased stories, lessons and even failures that proved critical in growing up as entrepreneurs in current rising India. It also served as a melting pot of different kinds of industry stakeholders talent and abilities that come together to create a successful & future fit company. 

The programme also identified and rewarded entrepreneurs (including women entrepreneurs & leaders) with outstanding entrepreneurial vision and skills irrespective of their size, capital and geography who are instrumental in the socio-economic development. The aim of the initiative was to encourage dynamic, sustainable and forward thinking entrepreneurs, who were contributing to the development of the economy and society in general. This initiative recognized entrepreneurship aiming at promoting further entrepreneurial activity. 

Chief Guest of the programme was Shri Harshavardhan Neotia, Chairman, Ambuja Neotia Group and Guest of Honors of the programme were Shri Sanjay Kumar Das, WBCS, Joint Secretary, Department of IT & Electronics, State Information & Security Officer, Government of West Bengal and Ms. Keya Seth, Founder, Keya Seth Group of Companies. 

A competition was also held where applications were received under the following two categories in Service Sector: 

  • Companies between 3-10 Years of Incorporation. 
  • Startups companies less than 3 Years of Incorporation. 

Out of the pool of applications received the award for the 2 categories were declared on the day of the programme. The list of winners are appended below:

  4. Mr. Suman Chakrbarty, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Achiiever Finance India (P) Ltd, 2nd Runner Up

Successful Entrepreneurs shared their story of journey to success which inspired budding entrepreneurs and young start-ups to strive for professional excellence and also motivated them to be more focused in their professional career. 

In a nutshell, the conclave created the ultimate platform, ensuring the participants to meet the right people, in the right business atmosphere through effective curation.
