The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized an Online Session on ‘Ease of Doing Business – Theme: Colloquium on Easing Departmental Audit, Assessments and Compliances & Vivaad Se Vishwas Scheme’ on 18th December, 2020 on Zoom.

Introductory address on Ease of Doing Business with regard to Taxation was given by Mr. Vivek Jalan, Chairperson – Ease of Doing Business Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry &  Partner, Tax Connect Advisory Services LLP.

Special Address on Department’s Perspectives on Audit & Assessments was delivered by Shri Partha Santra from CGST Department, Government of India.

The 1st Technical Session was on Easing Audit & Assessments. Mr. Vivek Jalan, Chairperson – Ease of Doing Business Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Partner, Tax Connect Advisory Services deliberated on Impact of GST New Return System on Large Companies and Filing of GST 9 & 9C of 2019-20 and differences with GST Audit of 2018-19 & 2017-18. The next Session on Preparing for Departmental Audit and Assessments was chaired by Mr. Debashish Mukherjee, DGM - F&A, M Junction. The distinguished speakers were CA Bimal Jain, Partner, A2Z Tax Corp LLP and Mr. Vinay Shraff, Advocate Supreme Court & High Courts.

The 2nd Technical Session was on Easing Tax Compliances & Availment of Benefits was chaired by Mr. Nirmal Meharia

Director - Finance & Operations, Supertron Electronics Pvt Ltd. Mr. Pallav Gupta, Chairperson – Direct Taxes Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Advisor, Taxation, ITC Limited deliberated on Direct Tax Vivaad Se Vishwas Scheme. The Issues and challenges in filing ITR 6 and Tax Audit Filing for AY 2020-21& AY 2021-22 was addressed by CA Giridhar Dhelia, Jt. Secretary, All India Federation of Tax Practitioners & Partner, AGSS & Co.

The Technical Sessions were followed by an interactive session with the participants. The Online Session on Ease of Doing Business with regard to Taxation was attended by more than 70 delegates.
